Photorealistic Rendering from Revit using A360

SUMMARY.

First, make sure you have an active subscription to Autodesk Revit. A360 Rendering is included with every subscription to Revit, so you don't need to purchase a separate license.
To apply materials and lighting to your Revit model before rendering it using Autodesk A360 Rendering, follow these steps:
  1. In Revit, go to the "Manage" tab in the ribbon and click on the "Materials" button. This will open the "Materials" dialog, which allows you to view and edit the materials in your model.
  2. To apply a material to a specific element in your model, select the element and click on the "Edit Material" button in the "Materials" dialog. This will open the "Edit Material" dialog, where you can choose a material from the "Material Browser" or create a new custom material.
  3. To set up lighting in your model, go to the "Visualization" tab in the ribbon and click on the "Lighting" button. This will open the "Lighting" dialog, which allows you to view and edit the lighting in your model.
  4. To add a light to your model, click on the "Add" button in the "Lighting" dialog and choose the type of light you want to add (such as "Point light" or "Spotlight"). You can then use the controls in the "Lighting" dialog to adjust the position, intensity, and other properties of the light.
  5. To adjust the camera settings for your render, go to the "View" tab in the ribbon and click on the "Camera" button. This will open the "Camera" dialog, which allows you to view and edit the camera settings for your model.
  6. To set the camera position and orientation for your render, use the controls in the "Camera" dialog to adjust the location, target, and other properties of the camera.
Once you have applied materials and set up lighting and camera settings in your Revit model, you can then use Autodesk A360 Rendering to create a photorealistic render of your model. Just follow the steps in the previous tutorial to start the rendering process and save your render.
  1. Next, open your Revit model and go to the "Render" tab in the ribbon. Click on the "Cloud Render" button to launch A360 Rendering.
  2. In the A360 Rendering window, you will see a preview of your model. You can use the controls on the right side of the window to adjust the appearance of your model, including materials, lighting, and camera settings.
  3. Once you are satisfied with the appearance of your model, click on the "Render" button to start the rendering process. A360 Rendering will use advanced rendering algorithms to generate a photorealistic render of your model.
  4. While the rendering process is running, you can monitor the progress by looking at the "Render status" bar at the bottom of the A360 Rendering window. When the rendering is complete, you will see a preview of the final render in the A360 Rendering window.
  5. To save your render, click on the "Save" button in the top right corner of the A360 Rendering window. Choose a file format (such as .jpg or .png) and select a location to save the file.
You will need to practice to get your desired results. So better start with simpler models for testing.
